Meet Awit, a South Sudanese ex-refugee who is redefining resilience. Having navigated the complexities of two worlds—her war-torn homeland and her new life in Australia—she has transformed adversity into a catalyst for change. As the visionary behind Nhom Lau Coaching, Awit empowers young people to step into their full potential with confidence and clarity.

With a strong academic foundation in Human Services Field comprising of Counselling, Social Sciences and International Development. Awit has built a career centred on uplifting others. Her experience spans Child Protection, Refugee and Migrant Resettlement, Mental Health & Wellbeing, and Academic Research, particularly focusing on children and young people.

Beyond her professional work, Awit is deeply involved in her community, both locally and internationally. She expresses her creativity through music and dedicates her time to volunteering—further proving that passion and purpose go hand in hand.
